Family Medicine Resident - PGY-2

About the Position

The University of California, Riverside School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program in Palm Springs, California is a fully ACGME accredited three-year training program in Family Medicine. We are currently looking to fill a PGY-2 position to start July 1, 2017. The mission of our program is to provide personalized care of the highest quality to the underserved populations of Inland Southern California that is patient, family, and community-centered. The program is located in Palm Springs, California. Our main training hospital is Desert Regional Medical Center, which is a 387-bed level II trauma center, advanced primary stroke center, STEMI receiving center, Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and provides the highest level of services available in the 4,000 sq. mile area.


Applications are being sought from degreed candidates eligible for licensure in the State of California by the time of employment. Candidates must have been accepted in the Family Medicine Residency Program through the National Residency Matching Program and have satisfactorily completed 12 months of required experience in an ACGME accredited family medicine residency training program or have 12 months of credit from a prior residency experience granted by the American Board of Family Physicians. Candidates must have a passing score for USMLE Step 3 examination, along with current BLS and ACLS certifications by time of employment.
