Biography

Dr. Issa G. Alesh, M.D., F.A.C.C., R.P.V.I. is a current assistant clinical professor for the University of California, Riverside Cardiovascular Fellowship Program.

Alesh completed his M.D. and internship in Syria before coming to New York and Michigan to complete the rest of his training. He was also an attending cardiologist at the Detroit Receiving Hospital and Harper University Hospital in Michigan before becoming the attending cardiologist in the St. Bernardine Medical Center in California.

Prior to coming to UCR, Alesh was the assistant professor of internal medicine in the Division of Cardiology in Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. There, he was recognized as a key faculty member on the ACGME website and served on numerous committees, including the Department of Internal Medicine Compensation Advisory Committee.

Alesh is also involved in the American College of Cardiology as a fellow.

Research Interests

Alesh's current projects include an RV lead thrombus case report and literature review, interventricular lipomatous hypertrophy, and peri-partum cardiomypathy.

Other cardiology aspects include diastolic heart failure, cardio-oncology, echocardiography, and mitral regurgitation.
