Biography

Dr. Parastou Farhadian, M.D. is an assistant clinical professor of family medicine at the UC Riverside School of Medicine. She practices at the Riverside University Health System - Medical Center, where she acts as a liaison between different departments and satellite clinics and she plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the residency program and Family Care Clinic. She currently serves as an instructor for the Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics. 

Farhadian conducted her residency with the RUHS Family Medicine program. She earned her M.D. from the University of Shahrekord in Iran and conducted her residency in internal medicine at the Esfahan University Medical Center. She also worked for two years as an emergency room physician at the Sarkhosh Medical Center.

She is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

She speaks English and Farsi/Persian.

Research Interests

Farhadian's  interests include women’s health, faculty development, and ambulatory care. 

She has also served as research coordinator on several studies, including a randomized comparison on Bivalirudin versus Enoxaparin, a dose ranging study of hexadecasaccharide, a group trial of Rimonobant, a clinical trial of Cangrelor, a randomized study to determine the benefit and safety of Vytorin versus Simvastatin montherapy, and a comparison of CS-747 and Colpidogrel.
