Biography

Dr. Rajesh "Robby" Gulati, M.D., is program director of the Riverside Community Hospital/UCR School of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program, clerkship director, and clinical professor of internal medicine at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine. He is a practicing internist at Riverside Medical Clinic and a member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at UC Riverside School of Medicine and Riverside Community Hospital.

Gulati previously served as a professor of clinical medicine at the UC Irvine School of Medicine, where he was associate program director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, curriculum coordinator for ambulatory education, and medical director for the Practice Integrated with Education Clinic. He served as a medical staff member at the UCI Medical Center and was medical director of the Weight Management Program and site medical director for the HIV Expanded Testing Services Program.In addition to that,he also served as the medical Director of the IM/Primary Care Clinics at UC Irvine Medical Center.

Prior to coming to California, he was an assistant professor of clinical medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine's Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, where he also was the curriculum coordinator for ambulatory education. In addition, he was associate medical director for the Indiana University Medical Group and a medical staff member at Wishard Memorial Hospital.

Gulati is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Association for Physician Leadership, the Society of General Internal Medicine, and a fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Research Interests

Gulati has interests in obesity, weight management, and the drugs used as weight loss aids.
