Biography

Dr. Jonson Lin, M.D., is a health sciences assistant clinical professor at the UC Riverside School of Medicine and a child and adolescent psychiatrist throughout inland Southern California.

Lin earned his M.D. from the American University of the Caribbean, followed by residencies in general pediatrics at the University of Medical & Dental School of New Jersey and general psychiatry at the Drexel University College of Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Drexel.

Lin is the co-director and course instructor of the Lecture Series on Cognitive Therapy for Brief Sessions for the Psychaitry PGY-3 students. has previously worked as an assistant professor of psychiatry at Loma Linda University and as a resident weekly supervisor of the PGY-1 class at the Drexel University College of Medicine.

Lin is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is board certified in psychiatry and neurology as well as child and adolescent psychiatry and is a diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.

He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and limited medical Spanish.

Research Interests

Lin's research interests include tai chi and mindfulness for symptom management of chronic pain as well as cognitive functioning in pre- and post- psychopharmacologic medication trials.
