Biography

Dr. Hoveda S. Mufti, M.D., is an assistant clinical professor of internal medicine at the UC Riverside School of Medicine and practices at Riverside Community Hospital.

During her residency at the Brown Medical School, Mufti co-authored clinical guidelines for interns in the internal medicine residency and was a preceptor in the third-year medical student clerkship.

She previously served as a hosptialist per diem at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center and Ontario Medical Center. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

She has volunteered at free clinics in Los Angeles and Providence, Rhode Island, as well as in a HIV clinic in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Research Interests

Mufti has interests in unusual infectious diseases such as malaria and dengue fever in rural populations, as well as the continuing medical education of physicians.
