Biography

Dr. Michael Nduati, M.D., M.B.A, M.P.H., is an associate clinical professor of health sciences at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine. He is also hospitalist at Riverside Community Hospital.

He received his bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences from UCR, then went to UCLA to earn his M.D. from the David Geffen School of Medicine and a Master of Business Administration from the Anderson School of Management. After graduating, he did his internship and residency at Kaiser Permanente Fontana before earning a Master in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health.

Nduati, who is board certified in family medicine, is chair of the Academic Practice Forum for the California Medical Association and on the Board of Councilors for the Riverside County Medical Association.  He is also a member of the American Medical Association, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

While an undergraduate, Nduati co-founded the student-run African Americans United in Science at UCR, an organization that he continues to work with today.

Research Interests

Nduati's interests include community physician preceptor recruitment retention, CQI of medical school curriculum and leadership in health care.
