Biography

Dr. Hoda Z. Pourhassan, M.D. is a clinical instructor in internal medicine at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine.

She earned her B.S. in genetics from the University of Minnesota, then earned M.S. degrees in biomedical sciences and Health Care Administration and Management from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science College of Health Professionals. She then completed her M.D. from the university's Chicago Medical School. She then completed a residency in internal medicine at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pourhassan has served internships in Austria, Iran, China as well as the United States.

While in Minnesota, Pourhassan volunteered with multiple groups that worked extensively with Minnesota's Somali and Oromo refugee populations, providing guidance and health care. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Iranian Society for Protecting Rights of the Child.

Research Interests

Pourhassan participated in a comparative study of outcomes of myelodysplastic syndromes patients undergoing stem cell transplants at the University of Minnesota.
