School of Medicine

As planning for the new School of Medicine at UCR progresses, a full four-year curriculum of programs will emerge. Below are current and developing programs.

• The FastStart program helps students from disadvantaged backgrounds make a strong start in their college studies and acclimate to college life.
• The Medical Scholars program is a community of highly motivated students interested in careers in the health sciences.
• The UCR/UCLA Thomas Haider Program in Biomedical Sciences offers students their first two years of medical school in preparation for their final years at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
• The Medical and Health Careers Program supports the aspirations of pre-med and pre-health undergraduate students interested in pursuing careers in medicine and other allied health professions.
