NIH-funded postdoctoral fellow positions are available in the Zheng Lab at the University of California, Riverside. Current research projects investigate emerging roles of alternative splicing and nonsense-mediated mRNA decay in brain development, neuronal longevity, and neurodegeneration (Neuron 2020, JMB 2020, Neuron 2019, NAR 2019, NAR2018, RNA 2017, Cell Reports 2016). A strong background in RNA biology, developmental neurobiology, computational biology, and mouse genetics is highly preferred. Ph.D.s with expertise in one or more of the following are strongly encouraged to apply: biochemistry, in utero electroporation, single cell technology, genome editing, RNA binding proteins, ribogenomics, and cell death.
