Administrative Internships
Unpaid internships in the UCR Scchool of Medicine are offered for students in undergraduate health administrative programs. Internships can be for-credit as part of a formal externship or not-for-credit during student breaks.
Who May Apply
In order to qualify for an internship at UCR School of Medicine, students must be in good standing and currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree granting program in health administration, business administration with a health concentration, or health/public policy.
Programs must have a formal affiliation with UCR SOM in order to begin their internship. Current affiliated programs include:
- California State University San Bernardino Program in Health Administration
- California Baptist University Health Sciences
- La Sierra University Zapara School of Business
Students attending programs for which no current affiliation exists may still apply with the understanding that the application may take longer as an affiliation agreement will need to be executed prior to the student joining UCR.
Interns may be placed within the School of Medicine or UCR Health. Internships are designed based on number of interns, and business needs. Interns may request exposure to particular areas of the organization, including clinical operations, medical education, research, or business operations.
How to Apply
Students interested in applying for an internship should send a resume and letter of interest by email to Michelle Burroughs.
